Blue ITE monster at Limerock past saturday
Someone here own the blue ITE 951 monster that was at Limerock on Sat? I didn't get a chance to attack him with questions because I was helping a friend with a vee. He qualified second OVERALL (grouped with American sedan and GT1 - yes gt1). He got pushed off in the second lap and was dead last but managed to finish FOURTH after BLOWING by everyone on the straight. I thought he was going to burn the numbers off of those corvettes he passed with the THREE FEET EXHAUST FLAMES EXITED THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR! Scary machine.

I think the car was built by worldwide motorsports. It's on the front page of their website www.worldwide-motorsports.com. The engine was done by John Milledge. I think that car (and Woody Weiss) have a couple lap records around the NE at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen.

And would you believe he does all that with 2.5 liter! Obviously a very modded engine. Most interesting is that the turbo is moved to the passenger side! You should see the car with the front end off, the ducting is something to see.

Brian...happen to know his lap time at the Glen? FYI, I just saw the Porsche Clash there this past weekend. The quickest were 911 GT3 Super Cup cars that were doing around 1:57. They were flying out there.

I think I saw the times on the technodyne racing website, they were collecting 951 lap records from around the country since they held a couple in the Western US. They've totally redone their website so that page is gone.

The car was built under the watchfull eye of pca.

So, what type of turbo's on it and what kind of head mods? Is there significant work done to the crank? What kind of rods/pistons, compression... You know, just tell us some about the car!

For the clutch, you may want to look at
http://www.worldwide-motorsports.com/products.htm
Costs you $210 (plate only)

Pretty fast car!
