Post Blue ITE monster at Limerock past saturday

Someone here own the blue ITE 951 monster that was at Limerock on Sat? I didn't get a chance to attack him with questions because I was helping a friend with a vee. He qualified second OVERALL (grouped with American sedan and GT1 - yes gt1). He got pushed off in the second lap and was dead last but managed to finish FOURTH after BLOWING by everyone on the straight. I thought he was going to burn the numbers off of those corvettes he passed with the THREE FEET EXHAUST FLAMES EXITED THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR! Scary machine.

You are probably referring to Woodie Weiss of
CT. He is a member of the Connecticut Valley Region PCA He races in PCA and SCCA.

I think the car was built by worldwide motorsports. It's on the front page of their website www.worldwide-motorsports.com. The engine was done by John Milledge. I think that car (and Woody Weiss) have a couple lap records around the NE at Lime Rock and Watkins Glen.

And would you believe he does all that with 2.5 liter! Obviously a very modded engine. Most interesting is that the turbo is moved to the passenger side! You should see the car with the front end off, the ducting is something to see.

That is the car. The lap record thing is very credible considering the at least 2 seconds a lap he was putting on the winning gt1 catching him up.

Brian...happen to know his lap time at the Glen? FYI, I just saw the Porsche Clash there this past weekend. The quickest were 911 GT3 Super Cup cars that were doing around 1:57. They were flying out there.

I think I saw the times on the technodyne racing website, they were collecting 951 lap records from around the country since they held a couple in the Western US. They've totally redone their website so that page is gone.

By the way, I use on of his clutches. Woody had 100 of these 6 puck clutches made and so far mune works great. Diabolical for the street, but no slippage.

I would be happy to answer any of your questions regarding woodies car.It is in fact a 2.5 liter but it is 500 hp at 1.1 bar.It also is 2620 lbs w driver. It is also legal for gt3s. The car was built under the watchfull eye of pca.

For the clutch, you may want to look at

http://www.worldwide-motorsports.com/products.htm

Costs you $210 (plate only)

The best lap of the next closets car was a 1:58.5, 3rd place came in at 1:58.7 These were two 2000 996 GT3R's These were for the sprint race

In fact race results show the he beat them by almost 12 seconds for a 14 lap race.

In the enduro the best GT3R lap was a 1:57.2
The 944 Turbo Ran a 1:56.0 , but retired after 28 mintues.

Pretty fast car!
