Post Hesitation in 5th at 3.5K

I was cruising this morning and the engine hesitated in 5th gear at around 3.5K rpm. Boost dropped off from 1 bar to 0! and engine was not making power (even though I was still on the throttle). I was able to boost through all gears up to 5.5K without a problem. Almost seemed like there was a speed cut off switch.

Has anyone had this type of problem? or can tell me where to start looking? Thanks in advance. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Overboost - your computer sensed too much pressure at the manifold and shut off the fuel. Will typically happen only in higher gears because of additional load. You most likely have a sticking wastegate, too high a setting on a signal controller, or cycle valve problem.
