Okay...it's 23 days and a few hours to the Hershey Swap Meet....

As I alluded to in the intial thread....I have contacted the Central PA PCA and they will accomodate us with "reserved" parking inside the "Porsche Only Parking".....the "catch" is that we all will /or a lot of us need to meet close by and drive the last mile or two to the event and arrive as a "group".

Since we are all coming from various departure points from either NY/NJ/PA/MD/VA and other points unknown....I'm going to scout a locations...probably a McDonald's near the event where we all can meet.

I'll post a google maps link in a few days......of where we will meet.

Now probably for probably the hardest part....and I am assuming anyone driving more than 3 hours is probably bunking in a nearby hotel the night before....I am thinking we meet at 9:30am ? Let me know what you all think?

As an update, based on the responses here and over at the Pelican Board we should probably have about 20-30 944's / 951's parked together....which is going to make for a one "cool" photo...and I think it will be the 1st PCA event I will attend and not feel like....well you guys know what I'm talking about.

Can't wait to meet you all....and just as a FYI....I took my Son Tim (he is 5 now) with me last year and I'll be bringing him with me this year.......so if you have any little ones...bring em.....I'm sure he would like to meet some of the future generation 951/944 owners.

I would try and get there earlier than 9:30am, especially if you are browsing around looking for any deals on things you may or may not need. Even then if you are there to look at the cars, i would try to meet closer to 8:30-9am.

I hope to make it again this year but due to my work schedule i dont think i will be able to.

I can meet anywhere, any time, as long as I attend... I am not 100% sure I will be there again this year, have lots going on, and right now my schedule is up in the air!

BUT my car is and has been running GREAT!

Im definitely going, I would also suggest meeting at the earlier time. Anywhere works for me to meet up.

definitely going, most likely not taking the car. I go with a group of guys in a Suburban. Maybe next year when I've got it a little "prettier."

I'll be there but will have to skip the caravan because I can be unreliable at times. Wouldn't want to have anyone waiting on me. I'll have to take my chances on the parking. Just tell all non 944/951 owners that they have to leave their keys in the vehicle in case we have to rearrange the parking lot! I'm staying at a place called the "Scottish Inn." Had everything I wanted; wifi, free breakfast, and less than 50 clams.

You guys are gonna think I'm nuts, I was just going to wake up at 4 and get there right when the gates open at 7:30.

I hear all the good deals can be had before the big crowds start to form (this will be my first time coming)...so I want to get there right when it opens.

That is true (early deals) however I have zero chance of my 9yr old going for that !

I am generally successful gettting him up at 6:30AM to be at the gates around 7:30 when they are getting ready to open.

I usually stay at the sheraton harrissburg hershey but may look for someplace closer

I like the idea of meeting 8:30-9am to get there a little earlier. I also agree that meeting at a nearby McDonalds sounds like a good way to go. That way I can get in some breakfast!

Who else is going from MD- think we can meet up for a caravan to PA. From Clarksburg MD, we can just meet up and head up 15N. How many are confirmed to go?
