Default Climate Control: Stumped

Hey guys, I've done plenty of searches, but I am stumped on this little issue. Heater doors won't close, heater clip is there, heater valve won't close either. The vacuum is good on the heater valve. I recently installed new defrost/recir, snowflake switches. I recently recharged my AC. I checked the resistance on the temp adjustment switch, it changes between cold and hot. I feel like a bonehead as I even have the factory manuals.

Not sure what my next move is. Anybody have some insight?

Thanks,

Chris G.

Sounds like the heat/AC controller is dead. Did you swap in another one?

On mine the PO (my friend) found that the fuse socket was actually worn, if you wiggled the fuse it would lose contact! I think he used a fuse tap to wedge the fuse in.

bought a AC/Heater controller on ebay, pretty sure it is toast. I also bought a used long block with a blown headgasket for $150. Can't wait to rebuild that thing

I usually go on car-parts.com to get my heater/ac units--have had to replace several of them. Offer pretty good prices.

Crap, I overpaid big time. I should have done some asking first.

It is fixed. I also found a hole in the firewall and my passenger airbag was not hooked up. Getting my donor engine tomorrow, excited!
