NEED HELP!! (Danno, Travis, anyone...)
Well, my car was fired up for the first time in almost a year a couple of days ago. The only problem is that it only runs for 3 seconds and then dies. Has anyone else had this problem? I believe it has something to do with the MAP kit that I have on it but I don't know where to start. Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

Simple enough to pop the stock AFM back on there to test (unplug MAP box from harness). With having done so much stuff, you want to reduce the number of variables to troubleshoot.
Common problem here is the crimp-connectors. Most importantly the RPM and air-flow signal wires, make sure they're crimped securely on the proper wires (green/red is not the same as red/green). Also make sure the TPS wire goes to the KLR.

Thanks for the replies so for! I don't have any of the stock AFM parts. (Theft recovery vehicle. I guess whoever stole it wanted it for parts.) The car is currently up at Technodyne where Chris did a bunch of things like water pump, O-ringed head, belts/timing, vacuum lines, etc. He also did the install of the Link box. He said that he would re-check the wiring for pin #7 (green w/ red stripe I think) but if that doesn't work, what would you guys suggest I look at next?
Thanks again,
Dan
EDIT : All of the fuses are good. I checked all of them before I droped the car off at Technodyne. I check the relays next time I'm up there (maybe later today).
Thanks again,

WOOO HOOO!!! It's alive! Just a few odds and ends to clear up and then put it on the dyno tomarrow! It turns out that the air flow signal wire was connected wrong... it was on the red w/ green stripe and not the green w/ red stripe. I CAN'T WAIT TO TEST IT OUT ON THE STREET!

"So when is the next Nor-Cal/So-Cal/Az pizza run?"
Maybe we should put together a 944-spec.com car and head out to AZ for the next gathering?
