Lightbulb Recommended tire pressures...

I'm interested to know what tire pressures other 951 owners are running. What tire pressures does Porsche recommend? I've got an '89, with stock sizes 225/50-16, 245/45-16. I haven't played around with my tire pressure too much, and right now I'm running 34psi in front and 36psi in back.

I've got the stock rims with the same tire sizes and after playing around with different pressures, I found the factory recommendation of 36psi all around to be the best. Currently I'm using a set of Michelin Pilot Sports. They've got an awesome tread pattern, look real aggressive from the back and handles phenomenal on the road and track.

34 psi was a little too soft for my taste and 38 and higher at speeds over 100 mph felt a little squirelly(sp?), but that also depends on the type of tires you've got.

I agree. Those factory settings of 36psi do very nice in road feel and handling, as well as getting decent gas mileage. Give it a shot and see what ya think.
