Shift kit question
Just drove a 2000 911 and I loved the way that car shifts. Short throw, very smooth feel. Does anyone out there know if any of the shift kits available for the 951 will make the car shift more like a newer 911? Shorter, smoother throws?

Dwayne,
PerformanceProducts.com makes one, its made by authority. OR go the authority website. There about $200 dollars.. Also, SFR makes one for the 951. I don't know about the one from SFR. I had the one from authority very nice much shorter, and very little side to side play.. No more "limp dick" shifting..Good luck..Nick

I just put in an SFR short shift kit, and my experience is similar to pedro951's. Its definitely shorter, more precise, and an improvement, but its not really smooth. That being said, I like it a lot, and it gave me the opportunity to replace the failing stock shifter.
