Post Installing aftermarket boost-gauge

Hi,

If i buy an aftermarket boost-gauge (and i'm gonna, because my car will be chipped soon and i want to know what the hell is going on there), how will i install it? Where does the gauge pick up the pressure? And how do people get it to fit that nice in just below the radio?
Any experience out there?

1. You can buy a gauge plate for the slot below the radio for the boost gauge, or make one yourself. I cut mine out of 1/8in aluminum. It holds a/f meter, boost gauge, and manual boost controller.
2. Follow the clear/white vacuum hose coming off the intake(passenger side). It enters the car and goes to the computer under the passenger foot well. If you 't' in there you don't have to feed more vacuum hose through the firewall.

I wrote a procedure about this either on this list or the 944-all models list. It has pics search for it under boost gauge or my userid#.

I can get a LR-LadedruckAnzeige (turbogauge) with light, -1 to 1.5 bar boost with a standard radiopanel with room for 3 standard gauges. It costs about $35, any thoughts?
