Default rattle/noise from camhousing/distributor area

So I started my car today after being stored for the winter. Start it up it sounds like a diesletruck, but not a much as if the lifters are empty althogh a sounds not far from it. I reved it up to about 2.2k and the rattling stops. let go and it comes back. The rattle seems to originate from the camhousing and/or distributor area. So i pull the cover to check the cam pulley, buy couldnt tell by hand if it was loose, didnt seem like it but I cant find my 1/2 ratchet to try it!!. Any other ideas on what it could be?
Thanks

My guess is the cam sprocket bolt is loose, and the Woodruff ket slot may have enlarged. When accelerating the cam is loaded and the sprocket wedges tighter, so the rattling stops. Get a 12mm triple square bit and check the tightness of the sprocket bolt. Consider seriously pulling the sprocket and inspecting the key slot on the camshaft and sprocket.
