I have done several searches and have not found any positive information on whether or not 996 Sport seats fit well in our cars ('89 951). The most information I found was installing these seats into a 993, which should inturn equate to ours as those seats appearantly fit fine in our cars. I am also curious about the power, heat, and memory functions. Nobody seems to have addressed this before. Any information would be great. Thanks!

They will fit and you can install the power through the memory computer attached to the drivers seat. ( passenger seat is easy 2 wire + - hookup. I test fit and hookup up power in my 951 even though I plan on installing them in my 911 turbo - both 1986's so seats are the same. ( looking for another set so I can have both cars with those seats ) On the rails - hammer the front tab flush with the slider and remove the locating tab. Seats will just bolt in at that point. Thank you very much! How do you like the feel of those seats? Do you know if there is any difference in the 997 seats? Is $2,500.00 a pair pretty much the going price for a pair in very good condition. The LA Porsche dismantlers on E-bay has several sets.

Love the seats. ( could just be 25yr old leather vs. 6yr old leather though ). Don't know about the 997 seats but I can't imagine it would be any difference insytallation wise.

Sounds good to me, I hate to change perfectly good leather, but I would have to recover them in dark blue, the ones for sale are black. I think that would look funny in a dark blue interior car.
