Do you mean ram air into the air intake or into the intercooler? I can't recall hearing about the former but some people cut vents to get more air to the intercooler.
My memory of ram air is those ugly scoops some detroit cars used in 70s. Did you try a search of the old posts or the archives?

We had this discussion last week and in the past:

It's not easy to get enough ducting area in a scoop to build pressure with a ram-air configuration (at least 1/2 square-meter). The shape of the scoop is also very important. An inverted parabola works at low-velocities, 90-140mph, but a hyperbola would be better at high-velocities 150mmph+. Also underhood air-temps are the same as ambient outside air from 15mph onwards. What I'm going to work on next is to shorten the intake-plumbing as much as possible between the turbo-outlet and intake-manifold. This will help reduce turbo-lag and make throttle-reponse more instantaneous.
