Warm temp. effect on 951 FUEL pressure?
Anyone have a sheet on the effect that warming temperatures have on a 951's fuel pressure?? Thanks

Hmmm, I wouldn't think it would make much of a difference since the FPR will maintain the correct fuel-pressure regardless of its temperature? While the volume of the fuel may increase with higher-temps, thus leading to higher-pressure for the same volume, this extra pressure would be bled off by the FPR.

When the engine is cold, you get more fuel pressure than when it is warm.
This is because it is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator...more pressure, more fuel...
On a cold engine, there is more pressure (well, less vacum)...which results in more fuel than on a warm engine pulling full vacum.
This is why I believe my car runs super rich when cold.
Anyway, thats what I think based on logic...unless of course the fuel pressure reg doesn't react to vacum and only reacts to positive (above atmospheric) pressure....

Thanks adrial, I was more interested in the effect of ambient temp. on the pressure and the extent that the pressure regulator could neutralize it.
