1 spline on the inside drops the car about 67mm. Outside spline drops 60mm. Using both in and out splines you can calculate incremental change for adjusting 1 spline in opposite directions.

The spring plate should be maybe a quarter inch below this part of the bracket when assembling. So when it is assembled the spring plate will be tight against that tab/ spacer.

That is why you just do it right the first time. With some planning it is not hard.

That only applies to one t-bar diameter. Change the diameter or change the weight of the car and your numbers change.

I did some reading before I did my rear suspension. Torsion bars vs coilovers. Since I don't like to do things twice, especially if it's me that screwed up, I opted for the coilovers. Some will not agree, but that's what a democracy is all about!

Thanks that was the info that I was searching for.

If I have to pull it apart for round 3 I will use that setting. That is probably in the middle of the 2 settings I have tried so far.

If I have to pull it apart again I'm taking a **** load of photos and measurements for everyone on Rennlist. I don't want anyone to go through what I did.

Thanks also to everyone for your posts I really appreciate it. Hopefully coilovers will be in the budget for next year but I just want to get the car on the road and inspected. Owning a car you can't drive for 3 years and 3 months sucks especially with about $55000 to 60000 into the whole project.

Take care,
Jason

Actually, no, the weight and stiffness do not matter as you are turning the tbar and changing its relative position (not stiffness). The height change is a function of the angular rotation (9 degrees for inner splines, and 8.18 degrees for outer splines) and the lever arm which is about 420mm. Of course if you also change the tbar diameter then the relative change will need to take into account the change in stiffness which is a function of the bar dia to the power of 4.

Yes, I did plan when I did my 30mm swap in. Used various spreadsheets, measures, etc from others that have done this in the past. Still, the first attempt was just a bit too high (3/4") and the adjustment was a bit too low. As they say, 3's a charm.

As you know, doesn't take much to be off.
