Fastrax203, glad you're keeping the car man! We gotta do a VA meet or something with everyone on this board! BTW what brand / style of wheel are those? They look like BBS LM clones!

They're real 2 Piece BBS LMs.

Yeah, we definitely have to! There's quite a few members on the VA area. It'd be mostly figuring out what's the best date and most central location. I've organized a few events in the past (non p-car)

I hate to break it to you, but those are LM replicas from Ebay. I had a set. You'll know when you look on the backside and there are no inside nuts/bolts. And careful with those, the clear coat on the wheels isn't great. Don't drive in snow/salt or they won't last long. Otherwise they're great wheels for the price and they have an excellent offset/width.

DDP, did you know the manufacturer by chance?

The fakes are not 2 piece and the valve stem is cut into the face of the wheel.

Fake:

Mine:

As to why the BBS emblem isn't stamped on the front I'm not sure.

If it's not BBS it's a very, very high quality copy.

Well, looks like I got swindled! After looking at a set of BBS wheels for a few minutes the spokes are straighter on real BBS wheels as opposed to the replica wheels. Oh well, I can't complain when I think about the price I paid.

Sorry to hear they aren't real, but they do look nice! I'd love to pick up a set if I knew where; haven't seen any copies of these for awhile for sale, or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

Apparently they're Miro Type 279s. I checked the website and it doesn't list the bolt patterns or sizes and offsets it comes in. Apparently they make them for BMW and VW bolt patterns but nothing on the 5x130 that our cars need. If I find more information on them I'll post it.
