Hi Gary I live down in Tucson. If your car is running consistantly a little warm because of increased boost etc...in AZ you can get away without using a thermostat. I know plenty of guys in Tucson who have just plain yanked them out to take advatage of unrestricted coolant flow. Thet seem to just fine in our climate without them. Haven't tried it my self but will consider it next h20 pump.
