Unfortunate accident to my 944 turbo!!
Sad to say that my 944 turbo was involved in an accident yesterday. Heres how the story goes... I go to downtown Orlando to pay a traffic ticket of $80 that was due yesterday. On the way back, I took I-4 west to head back home and there was a traffic jam, since it was rush hour. I was going not more than 5 mph when I hit a lady infront of me in a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was switching lanes when all of the sudden the lady stops abruptly in front of me. I didn't even have a chance to put my brakes. Anyways my car was hit in the front right side causing damage to the hood, right fender, pop-up light, and front bumper. The irony of the story is that I went to pay an $80 ticket and ended in an accident that causes me to have another $80 ticket for following to close and a $500 deductable to fix my car. In all, that ****ing cop that gave me a sensless "No Turn on light" ticket, ended up costing me $660 and 6 points on my license.

At least you get a new paint job right?! If your front end looked anything like mine does, then it might not be such a bad thing.
Either way, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear it.

Very sorry to hear about it!
Stating the obvious, it could have been allot worse!
I had my first 951 written off by a speeding woman on a cell phone. She just creamed me in an intersection and bent the nose of the car real good. Between the insurance company and the price I payed for my current car, it cost me nearly $10,000.....
But when it's a 951, you don't mind paying a premium to keep 'em going because they're just so awsome!

Maybe she was stopping for traffic in front of her?

Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. like Kevin said, at least you get a new paint job.
I recently totaled my 87 951 which I've owned since 93. The car was pampered since I've owned it. I took it out for a short ride on a partly cloudy day sice I wasn't able to drive it that week because of rain. Sure enough I hit a wet spot while my turbo was hitting boost on second gear. The car quickly veered straight into a tree. The car was totaled even though the damage didn't look so bad.

Weren't you trying to sell your car anyways? I think I saw your car on ebay once, as the pictures from your p-online site are identical to what someone had on ebay. Anyways sorry to hear about the accident.

Just found out today that the deductable is $250 not $500 so at least its not that much. Maybe I can get the guy to paint the whole car?? Or maybe put a carbon fiber hood from gt racing and front splitter?? This accident might not be so bad <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
