If you find coolant in the bottle, there's a good chance your head gasket has gone.
I will do it. It mean the exhaust port leak creating the air pocket in the cooling system, hence the coolant overflooding via the line?

Here is an update. I put a bottle with the tank overflow hose, found nothing in the bottle.
So I assume the HG is still pretty well, and the coolant may be casued by water pump or other hoses. I will trace the water path on coming Monday.

I am willing to bet that at least one hose is leaking. You need to find a pressure tester -- my hoses didn't leak at all while the car was sitting parked, but I worked my way up from 10 PSI of test pressure and by 12, I had found three leaks.

ACK! We'll hope it's not that! Did it hold 10PSI for long?

yeah, i rented one of those coolant pressure tester contraptions...never took it back to Autozone.

(They rent them - you pay the full price if you don't bring it back and want to keep it - I think mine was $70 or something). Well worth it, IMHO.

I've checked the top carpets, those are dry. I'm gonna check the floor.

Update: Took the compression test, the water pump failed, small amount of coolant dripping from it.
So other than changing water pump, what else shd I fix together with the water pump?
