BTW – if you really want to have fun with the USPS they do advertise that they will come and pick up any boxes for shipping. If you use their online shipping services they even have lower postage fees.

I am planning to purchase the proper crimping tool, as I also plan to do this all more than once... once I have it in hand for the promise of first born I will be willing to loan it out... but be advised, it will be on a you break it you buy it basis, and the tool and die are north of $700.... even off ebay...

Digikey used to carry one that would work...
Part numbers were:
Crimp tool part number 43149-ND
Tool Head either 43151-ND (22-18 awg) or 43150-ND (22-14 awg)
leaving the only other real option a $40 single crimp action tool..
