Default Reliable Shop in Orange County (Newport-Costa Mesa) to work on my 951

Hey guys and gals,

I recently moved to Newport Beach and need to get brakes done on my 951. I took it up to a generic Goodyear place in Costa Mesa and got screwed so am looking for a reputable Porsche shop.

My front calipers are seized so I don't want to have to drive the car too far. Costa Mesa would be fine as I don't believe there are any independents in Newport (I live on the peninsula for those who are familiar with the area).

Thank you so much for your help!

I would recommend John's Foreign Car in Laguna Niguel. The owner is Russ Graham and he is a Porsche factory trained race mechanic. I have a 951 and Russ has been my mechanic for the last 20 years.

I work on my 86 NA myself but take my 951 an hour north to Anaheim to Precision Motorwerks and Mr. Greg Brown. Look them up, I think you'll be impressed. One of the many things I love about living in SoCal (I'm a transplant from the NorthEast) is how many incredible shops for foreign cars and bikes there are here.

Thanks for the responses! I was hoping for something a little closer as Im not sure I trust my brakes right now. Has anyone heard anything about TruSpeed Motorcars in Costa Mesa?

I may just end up nursing the car to either recommended shop already mentioned as I prefer to go to a rennlist approved place ; )
