Default Foglight protection

So I got one of my foglights broken. When I replace them I don't want it to happen again. Is there anything I could do to protect them so this doesn't happen again?

I found these on ebay . I think they are similar to the stoneguards that go behind the fenders, but I haven't personally tried them out.
