I never noticed it before, but at the end it says "Porsche does not recommend exceeding any speed limits"...hmmm...lol.

Guess their first mistake was building a sports car. Second mistake, selling one to me.

The last few weeks have been pretty cold here in Atlanta, definitely suffering from 951 wrench withdrawal.

Just remember – there are no speed limits at the track! Driver’s Ed events are a great way to enjoy your car…..in fact in some circumstances, like when at a Performance Racing Trade show, you can even enjoy driving a rental car at the track….at night….while your 951 sleeps at home!
http://www.photoreflect.com/store/Or...12&po=12&pc=29 photo #13 is my favorite….a little air under the left front…..and the drivers face is conveniently dark…….

The other Volvo pilots (co-conspirators?) shall remain nameless….but we all had serious fun and the locals started to refer to us as the ‘glowing rotors guys’!

PS – don’t try this at home…..go to another state!

Right you are Chris. But sometimes... I don't think there are speed limits on some back country roads that no one drives on either...

I gotta admit i actually enjoy driving my XJ that i still go on random drives with it. Hoping for some decent snow when i get home again as this will be my first winter actually driving a snow capable vehicle. I dont think the year i drove my 951 with snow tires on counts .

Jeep is all set for the foul weather. New 30x9.5's, Hella fogs and e-codes. Also a new recovery hitch and strap for the inevitable pull outs my friends will need.

you should put a budget-boost on that thing Techno. the wj i'm driving now is way too plush....sorta boring actually. I miss the hum on the super swampers down the road and the torque curve of my stroker.....

really need to find a trans now...

Ideally I’d have mine parked too, but the winter beater is beat so… the last good cleaning until I run down to ATL for Christmas.

Thanks Doug! Well for the longest time I tried to pick up a Euro rear bumper from UK eBay, but no one would ship it over. I ended up with an IFC version w/o the rubber strip. It’s painted and will go on this spring. As for the front, I filled the side markers and head light washer holes then gave it to the shop that straitened and filled the rear quarters.

Thanks and no I used 20mil Lamin-x Yellow film over the fog section after covering the complete lens with their 40mil clear. So it looks yellow with the fogs off too. I like how it breaks up the long lens housing and IMHO looks best with the clear turn lenses. Unfortunatly you can see it’s pulling away mostly because I didn’t use a heat gun during application. I’ll be trying a yellow tint film next.

OBTW, my car is a rolling salt lick now.

My '86 is now a rolling salt lick despite dry roads for the last few days and as I've discovered driving around in the sub-freezing temps, the t-stat isn't opening up properly.
