$8,500 for the street car, race car shell, and a spare motor (needs to be honed). But I'm just getting tired of it collecting dust, so I'm going to fix it. The race car shell and spare parts are still for sale though. Last night was the first time it's been started in about 2 months.

As for the problem, I think it's the throwout bearing. 5th gear pull from 80, checking a/f ratios, then it pops out of 5th randomly, and now it has trouble going into all gears. The transmission rattles and makes all sorts of racket with the clutch disengaged at idle. Has been doing that since the motor swap, but just recently got worse after the incident I described. I've got a throwout bearing and pilot bearing on the way. Hoping that fixes my problem, but if not, I'm prepared to buy another transmission.

Well, it was my own ignorance that did it in. Sandblasted the intake manifold with glass media, didn't clean it well enough, and it got sucked into the cylinder, so now the walls have very light scoring on them, and the rings are no good now. The cylinders will need to be honed out, though I'm not sure how much, then new rings. Im sure the honing can be done without needing larger pistons. You'll want new rod bearings as well. But the rods themselves are good. The compression numbers on all four cylinders ranged from 70-80 because of my ignorance...
