Ouch, then you will have to run a lot of boost to take advantage of that turbo. Anything less than 600 bhp and you'd be better off with a 3582R.
It's expensive to rev much higher... such as dry sump, custom cams, new valvetrain, another water pump etc.

yes i know and thats why i asked for any help i can get. i dont plan on taking the cheap way around with this build. dry sump and the valvetrain is definitely on my top 3 list of mods for this engine. what do you mean about another water pump?

If I would build a high rpm engine I would ditch the mechanical water pump and replace with an electrical pump to avoid caviation at higher rpms. Not many people have experience with higher rpm 944's though so hard facts are hard to come by without investigations on your own.
