Default Does anyone have a sequence guide as to putting your Engine peripherals back on?

I am up to the last of the heat shields
Drivers side engine
I put in the heater valve and its hoses
Motor mount heat shields
Oil sending HS
Header HS's
There is a combo ( shares similar bolts) HS that goes on with Black Intake Manifold bracket & Balance shaft ( wire loom holder) HS and AOS HS
Also, I have to put on
Rear water neck ...etc...
There also seem to be a oil vent tube that goes to the AOS
I just was wondering if someone has a sequencing order that they put together ?

One of you **** guys out there must have somethin' ?
It sure would make things a lot easier....
Thanks in advance
Regards
Ed

the two bolt holes above the dip stick, get the heat shield you have lying on the towel, AOS goes on first. Get your turbo mounting bolts installed before the steering knuckle heat shield.

This pic is small, sorry, but you can see the bracket under the intake and the way the parts go together and how it mounts over the A/C bracket. The black part goes at the back of the intake and gets the two allen bolts, tab on the back of #4 runner.

You can also see the hose fitting from the AOS and most important, the oil line to the turbo. HTH some
another one, showing the heat shield around the AOS.

the wire harness for the AFM, TPS, turbo water pump are tie wrapped to the front arm of the horizontal bracket through the holes you see. The back arm is slotted for a bolt IIRC but only the most **** of **** put that PITA @$%^ back in.

Hey Bret
Your correct ... those pictures are too far away
But I understand ...
AOS on first
then HS then Intake Bracket
I assume you put the oil line from the crank case to the AOS in before the HS ?

Are you referring to the ( horizontal bracket ) the black intake bracket ? Sorry
What about tho oil dip stick ? When does that go in ?
Thanks

Here is a shot from underneath the car before all the stuff came off
Is that down pipe casting flange attached to one of those two bolts that hold the black bracket ?

the black one is not on in the pics I posted, it goes on the back of bracket that you don't have posted. The bracket in pet is three pcs, but it can come off and go on as one. The bolt in your photo is of the down pipe, heat shield for AOS and yes, the bottom holes for the black bracket that mounts veritical. Somewhere in your hardware, you have a rectangular pc of tin metal, that' what your missing right now.

I have it and sorry for not posting that earlier
The question I still have is that of the down pipe ?
The down pipe is mounted on a separate bolt ...? No? ( in my earlier post and picture )
It looks like that intake manifold bracket ( black ) shares a bolt with the down pipe ?
Sorry no more stupid questions .... ( for now )

I think they all share the back hole but it's been a while. Maybe if someone has a car on jackstands, they can look? When we did Rhobs car, we cut the bottom curl area off and slotted the holes before having it refinished, black pc.

Looking at your pictures I guess I should put on the Alternator Bracket at this time as well... as it looks like it could be a tight squeeze with the turbo ?

Boy, 5 years can really make you forget things ... (Sadly, the things you want to remember )
As for the things you might want to forget...... That's a whole nother story

Nightmares...? That's an understatement
I really think that the people who designed this car did little planning...
I think they had an idea, and then shoehorned the **** outta the parts to fit them in the car
Examples you ask? ....
Rear water neck
AOS
Heater valve
Master clutch connection to clevis under dash board ....
Having to drop the steering rack in order to remove and replace one of the turbo....
Just a few that come to mind ....
God knows I will have a very long list by the time I have 1/2 the car put back together
