Is my waterpump for the turbo supposed to be running while the engine is running? I assumed the engines waterpump fed the turbo, but I have noticed the intake is very hot while running and after shutdown. If the turbo waterpump is supposed to be running while the car is running and is not, how serious is the problem?
There is a temperature sensor that controls the turbo water pump. I don't know if it runs while the engine is running, but it should run for ~30 seconds after shutdown.
My intake manifold has been running hot but this has been only going on for around 1000 miles. How serious in terms of potential damage to the turbocharger is the problem?
