Mine are pathetically dim. I seem to recall some DIY about removing the cluster and respraying the "chrome" back on the gauges...

That thread has the part number for lights. I need to do mine as well since mine are extremely dim. I can't even read my gauges at night.

I did mine with new bulbs and aluminum foil and it made a big difference.
The chrome-look plating on the light boxes was pretty bad. Came right off with laquer thinner I bought at a hobbly shop. Used clear double stick tape from an Office Depot to hold on the foil.

I just left the stock bulbs in, got rid of what was left of the silver paint using paint thinner (like someone else above did), and taped down some un-crinkled aluminum foil. Works great - gauges are now a LOT brighter.

I'm curious does anyone have a picture of all the warning lights lit up? I don't know if I have any burnt out bulbs? I'm trying to figure out if I should just replace them all while the cluster is out or just go the cheap route and replace the gauge cluter illumination lights and mirror stuff.
