Racepack G2X on '86 Turbo
Where can i connect the Tach signal wire for the G2X ?
The instructions say DONT connect it to the Coil .
So i guess it would have to be connected to the DME , but where ?

Three Wheelin'
You should be able to connect to the tach out put from the DME. It's in the passengers foot well, red connector with 3 or 4 wires. If I recall correctly, the green wire is the tach signal.

You may use pin #21 on the DME.
It will be a multi-wire pin.
Use either solid green/green with black stripe, depending on year and what color wire Hans had in his bin at the Audi factory that day.
It will be a coaxial wire - cut the shielding, solder onto the signal wire and shrink wrap it.
Now solder the shielding together - you do not need to wrap it around the signal wire as it was for just 2-3 inches that you have disturbed.
Replace the DME rubber strain relief as you found it, or God will punish you.
