3. MAF, best bang for the buck and you will never need another MAF

Thanks, I sent you a PM

Dude nice, but for the MAF to run correctly don't you need new chips for it?

with the stock turbo I'm thinking a MAF isn't required. My car was making really good power on the stock turbo at 17psi...though eventually I blew a headgasket. Your backpressure will be very high at that kind of boost.
K&N drop in
Exhaust
test pipe
MBC
good chipset
DP wastegate
3 bar FP Reg
boost gauge
these things you WILL make great power...my car ran very hard with those mods.
BIG NOTE: Those that have mentioned fixing your exhaust leaks AND FOR SURE your vacuum leaks are RIGHT ON THE MONEY! Mine is a very well maintained car with a pile of receipts (history). After the head came off and a good solid inspection...THE CAR WAS FULL OF LEAKS! My headers needed the flanges welded and had a HUGE crack between 2/3.
Vacuum leaks and the header cracks slowed my spool..full boost was more like 4000 rpms.
I am no way an expert...just some recent experience.
Again the basic mods mentioned earlier will make great power for you. According to Dave Lindsey if your going to push the limits of tuning with the stock turbo use a backpressure gauge. In hindsight that makes a ton of sense. Others on here have warned that at 17#'s boost I would be pumping heat all the way back up into the manifold.
I will say the car headgasket heald for two years and the previous owner tracked the car often.
At 17#'s on the stock turbo I outran (from a roll) one of our techs 2010 SS Camaro 6 speed (426HP). You can make great power though there may be a cost in the end.
Have fun and maximize what you've got like others have suggested...it'll run hard :<)

i just ordered the venturi delete kit with new vacuum lines so that should take care of the vacuum leaks even though i dont think there is any. how would i find out if i have exhaust leaks?

Ideally you would want a true MAF chip matched for it, but ANY maf would would want a maf chip, ideally.
However, does this or most any other maf work just fine with a lindsey, Max, etc. chip and piggy back for fine tuning? Yep.
Some in here would disagree but dollar for dollar I'd run it against any other maf set up.
Been running it for about 3 years now and now isses and it moves a TON of air. Although for those with a fairly stock set up the 85mm MAF from the Cobra would be plenty.
It is actually made by Hitachi.

why don't people go map based piggybacks?
something like this http://www.performancemotorresearch.co.nz/index.html
people on the 911 board run these. don't need to worry about an airflow meter
