Opinions on reman alternators
I may need to replace the alternator on my S2.
I was looking at rockauto.com at some remanufactured alternators, and they had four remanufacturers on offer: BECK/ARNLEY, REMY, BOSCH, and ACDELCO.
Any experience, good or bad, with any of these brands? They all seem to have been remanufactured to the same or similar specs. Not a huge variation in pricing.
Any other brands I should be considering? Anyone offer a plug and play alternator that is rated above the stock 115A?

Ive bought loads of Beck Arnley parts from Rock Auto recently, for my Passat. No issues (with the parts, the well used Passat is another discussion )
No, to the plug and play. As far as I know.

I bought my Nissan Quest Alternmator from this guy: ebay alternator rebuilder
He was great to deal with, quick, very knowledgeable and the alternator looked like a well rebuilt unit that has worked perfect.
