Default Paging Rouge_Ant

You seem to know a lot about 951 tuning. I have a question about the Abaco DBX software for the Quad-M MAF. What do the different fuel tables represent? Or maybe a better question is, which tables do you adjust for idle, first gear, second gear....etc? Anybody else that is knowledgable about the software, feel free to chime in.

Adam,
Which .dbx file are you using?
There isn't a specific cell in the table to adjust for idle/part-throttle/wot. It depends on your airflow, which is the far left column (flow). You make adjustments by either increasing the voltage out, which will enrichen the AFR, or decreasing the voltage out, which will enlean the AFR.

The volt range you are using depends on how much airflow your engine needs. What are you using for logging?

Thanks for the reply. Currently I am using the AFM95130to36.dbx file. I am using the Innovate WBO2 kit that LR sells for logging I guess you'd say. I don't have the funds for a more advanced way of tuning at the moment. I do have a friend that has a tuning shop, but it is all SCT Mustang tuning that he does. He just opened it too, so I don't really trust him just yet with the 951. I don't want him to be responsible if anything was to happen.

Can you log the DBX?

I probably can. I'm kind of tuning stupid, so would you explain to me how to do that? haha

Hrm... I'm not sure if the DBX allows you to log it directly. If so, then you would need your laptop hooked up to the DBX. If it won't do that, then you will need to log the volt-out that goes to the DME...

Yes, I can hook it up to my laptop, but I dont know how to see what it's doing. All I can really do is adjust the fuel maps, then go drive the car and watch the WBO2 gauge to see what it's doing, then go back, and do it again...

Yeah - that way is going to take quite a bit of trial & error...
You need to log MAF volts in reference to WBO2 AFR at minimum. That way you have an idea of what voltages to adjust in order to change the AFR at a desired point.

Oh trust me, it does. And yeah, I'm having a lot of trouble knowing where to adjust the voltages. I need to figure out how to log the volts in reference to the WBO2....

Don't mean to interrupt this lovely e-chat y'all are having, but it sounds like the LC-1 lacks afr logging capabilities? I was considering purchasing one... maybe I should get the zeitronix instead?

It depends on what you want to do... If your are looking for a complete logging platform, then the Zeitronix is a good way to go. If you have a piggyback that logs, then the LC-1 is great.

I have the LC-1. Which piggyback would work best?
