Default Rocker Switches

Does anyone know where to get 951 Style Rocker Switches. I would really like some with no markings and that would illuminate if in one position and non-illuminated in the other. Basically, thing the sunroof switch in the center console. I want to add two switches to the center console and have them match the factory ones.

But I REALLY want one that does not have marking so that I can put my own markings on it (basically I want it to say "E85" and "PUMP" or something like that). Maybe there is a way to strip the white lettering off without damaging the plastic?

Thanks
-Dana

You can remove the writing from the switch. you most likley would use the central locking switch connected to a relay ect ect.

funny i was thinking and talking to my father about running e85 and pump with a switch, can you tell me how your going to run in just simply i can share my idea if you like also!

The central locking switch springs back to the neutral position after being depressed.

I took an OEM switch and figured out how the pinouts work. I then took apart a garage door opener and figured out what connection did what. I then soldered a little extra wire between the pinout of the switch to the contact of the garage door opener. I put the opener under the console, and installed the switch into the console. I have an OEM looking garage door opener.

True, but you can use either a latching relay or build your own using very simple wiring and a standard relay.

clangjr, have you ever posted instructions on how you made the "factory" garage door opener? I have thought about that, but never tried it. Glad to hear someone made it happen!!

I have not done it because every garage door opener is going to be different. I can post up the pinouts of the switch, but that's trivial.

I have a V-Flex. Basically, on the piggy back and the altitude sensor, they just have to be shorted to ground to switch maps.

I am doing the exact same thing in my car. It works great. I used the side mirror selector switch. I am planning on marking it for map A and B. What do you guys think I should call each map. 'Sport' and 'Race' is what I was thinking.

FYI
Map A is just off of the Tial spring (12psi)
Map B is running (18psi) with a electronic boost control from the SMT6

Dana, you sure you need to switch the Altitude input to the DME ?
I've just finished wiring up a VR Piggy Back & V-Flex and I have PB pin 16 to DME 30 (altitude switch disconnected permanently)
The Map 1/2 switch is to PB pin 4 (grey)
