Default Lindsey Racing Maxx Chips

If the chips were setup for a 3" exhaust and I only have a testpipe and the reset is stock would that make a huge difference in how the chip was burned. Meaning since the chip was setup for 3" exhaust and my car has the stock 2.5" exhaust and sometimes a test pipe would the chips not work well in my car?

Do these chips make a big negative impact in MPG?

The back pressure will not be identical between the 3" and the 2.5" exhaust systems. Therefore, the chip will not be optimized for your actual set-up.

Perhaps somebody with more knowledge would like to address the specifics....

Do you plan on installing the 3"? If not, you can send the chip to get reprogrammed for the 2.5. If the 3" will go on in the future, I'd run the chip as is. My guess is it'll be a little rich, but I'd rather have that then the other way around.
