Default Valve Guide Question for Engine Builders

I'm not happy with the valve guides I have recieved so far, neither meet the spec of the original guides that came out of the head. Pictured from left to right are: Original guide with shoulder, Guide from Porsche dealer (note chamfer missing), Guide from Porsche dealer(same order), Guide from WorldPAC (Canyon Engine Components).

I'm not so much worried about the guide moving as I am pissed the guides from Porsche are now lesser quality.

For those in the business of doing these heads what guides are you using?

The O.D of the new guides is not big enough to machine my own shoulder in

I machined my own then reamed it to proper size once installed, I went to a custom valve thats larger though, not unlike the vitesse head.

turn the chamfer on them are they to big id ?? are your valve stems ok ??
they some times tighten up a bit when installed ..
I would prefer to convert to thinner stems and chev valves also if i had gone to the trouble of getting them out ..

perhaps whitey or lindsey has a K line kit for them wich are a better thing from many accounts ..but kind of to late if youve already puonded them out .

We make our own by modyfing a domestic part. The look very much like your example on the right.
Even Porsche thinks you don't need a shoulder. What makes you think you do? If you look at your original part, judging by the discoloration, it appears that the guide was not down to the shoulder even
though it had one, so it wasn't doing anything anyway. Use any of them and move on with your build.

Found the answer,

The Standard replacment guides (not available through Porsche) have the shoulder, the 1st oversize do not.
