Default Cermalube for piston skirt?

This may be an interesting resource for those in the DIY engine rebuild phase of life:

Cermalube dry ceramic lubricant coating. Applied in liquid form with an airbrush and baked at 450ºF. Available form Powderbuythepound.com:

Anybody have experience applying piston skirt coatings? Is this a good idea?

Sounds very similar to some stuff I used to use on motorcycle engines called Kalguard Piston Kote back in the 80's (they don't make it anymore). Found it worked in reducing friction and piston skirt scuffing and wear. Later motorcycle manufacturers and some car manufacturers put it on pistons from the factory; don't know if they still do.
