i'm no expert, but i'd say buy the Lindsay Racing Engine harness and Lindsay Reference Sensor Harness. Check condition of the the reference sensors and check the gap .. I think it should be 8mm~.

I even tested the Speed & Reference sensors with my oscilloscope. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING tested completely fine.

After a wasted day of testing, we replaced the Speed & Reference sensor wiring harness, and then the car started right up.

Frankly, I'm at the point now that if anyone is still on stock 25year old wiring, then at least replace speed & reference sensor harness immediately, and really should also replace the fuel injector one as well.
The wiring on these cars is always suspect, IMO. The LR harness is one of the best purchases I've made for this car.

The injector wiring could be shorting... That would possibly explain why you can pull off an injector wire, and it doesn't affect anything.
I would pull the injectors and take a look at them and replace the wiring.

are the ref and speed sensors new? after two weeks of owning my car, my speed and ref sensor bracket came loose and made the sensors touch the flywheel.

Does electrical power in the car stay on when it dies or do all the electrics shut down?

Does the tach bounce around at all when it's running?

and no it shut off,as if i wanted to to park the car and shut it off.

so probably my problem huh? that wire thats all burnt up is the speed sensor? closest one to the firewall out of the speed/reference sensor correct me if im wrong.. but would that cause my car to run like this?

Don't forget that the BMW ones work as the oem and cost 1/2 the price.
