WTB this A/C component.
I had my a/c lines reworked, I had trouble getting one of the sensors off, as I thought it was a push to fit connector. It finally snapped off, either it was frozen, or it needs to be removed by the mounting nut, thus putting the wire harness in a major bind.
ANyway I ordered a replacement part from Josh, and the hose he sent did not have the part, and he did not recall seeing it.
I have an 86 turbo, is this an odd sensor and what is it for?
Thanks
Steve

Steve-o, now that I see it in the pic like that, yeah, looks like you need to hold a backup wrench below what looks like an aluminum sealing washer and turn the top section with another wrench to break it loose....., but like you said, there must be a way for the electrical part to unplug because this would have twisted your harness while still on the car.
Not sure of it's function, but if I had to guess, being that the pressure switch is already there also, is that it must switch the engine to a higher idle speed when the compressor is engaged....?
Maybe for the cooling fans..?
Let me see what I can find and I'll email or call you.

Yes, that's it with the green connector.
The part itself looks the same and has the same function but the line itself was redesigned.
Looks like the later line was shipped instead of the 86 turbo line.....and without the switch.
Either line will work since the accumulator/drier is the same.

Yep, Darwin that is the connector in need w/ enough of the harness to solder on a electical connector/disconnect.
