Default Shift linkage arm - can it be removed with the transaxle out?

I need to re-drill the end of the long linkage arm that connects the cabin shifter to the transaxle linkage.

Can the rod be removed when the transaxle is out but the torque tube is in? Would be much simpler to drill out of the car.

TIA!

Jeff

The shifter rod comes out after the transmission is out and before you remove the TT, yes.

I actually managed to get it out with the transmission in place a while back. It can be squeezed out next to the torque tube.
