Default Question if need OEM for the two coolant hoses at firewall.

I am getting ready to order parts. Since the engine is out. I plan to replace anything that would be hard to get to, if I had not changed it.

The two hoses at the base of the firewall, underneath where the A/c lines connect, Do I need to order the OEm hoses, or just have a good replacemnt. Was not sure if there were any hard bends which might cause a kink compared to the formed Oem ones. IIRC one goes to the heater core valve, the other I think goes to the hard coolanrt line running above the headers.

Any other items to change that are hard to get to while engine is in, please let me know if I missed something. Everything on the engine that is going in, that is hard to get to has been changed.

Thanks
Steve

I put the OEMs on while the cam housing was off. Not too bad, and I think they weren't all that expensive.

Thanks,

I was going top place an order to Paragon, and was not sure, if these were anything special, as far a molded shape.

They do have a molded shape, yes. Replace the heater core valve too since youre in there.

I relaced the HC valve about 2yr, 20k miles ago. It has sat unused for about a year. I would assume, still good. If not let me know.

I will order the two hoses today.

Thanks

The clutch hydraulic line would be good to change too.

Thanks,

Changed that already about 20K miles ago, be good to change again? I know it was not fun, for my mechanic.
