another coolant mystery ??
How can it be that I can drive the car park it, and never see even a drop of coolant on the ground.................yet when I put a pressure tester on the system the radiator leaks like a cow peeing on a flat rock ????? ( 1986 951 )

I have had same thing. No leaks at all noticed, but when you put a pressure tester, it finds leaks.
My fluid dynamics explanation, lol, would be that flowing coolant does not have the propensity to leak as much as stagnant, pressurized fluids.
No biggie, just fix the leaks.

Weird eh ? I just left the shop for other work and they said btw we put a coolant sys pressure tester on the car and you have a pretty big radiator leak. I said yes I know I'll be changing the radiator this weekend. So I drive the home "hard" max boost in 3,4th ect. Temp gauge says all is well no problems. Get home open the hood, look underneath ( aero panels are removed ) and there is not a trace of coolant anywhere. AND I have not had to add to the expansion tank either. Good one eh ?
