when i press the button on my alarm remote, the locks seem to wiggle but dont actually lock or unlock. same with the button in the car. the locks work fine with the key. im not sure what is broken. my mechanic told me that it could be that the plastic door lock actuator linkages are broken.

anyone else have an idea?
also, i couldnt find these. does anyone know the part number?

 

Definately sounds like the plastic ball and socket linkage. Cheap and easy. 944Online has em. Buy a bunch to justify the postage, common failure. Might want to get a real door pry tool also, will save on the door clips [might want to get a couple of those too] and interior door card.

 

im sorry but your reply kind of confused me.

 

The linkage is right below the locking post on the inside of the doors. You must remove the door panel for access. Simple little ball and socket arangement with the socket usually spliting and falling off. A small pair of needle nose pliers will aid in reattaching the retainer clip, you'll see!
