So Chris, what do you think of the O ring / widefire setup in general?

Its ‘old school’ but it does work. My only problem is that you are locked into the concept once you modify the head or block. I have had a couple of folks that wanted to go from a 100 to a 104 bore and I had to tell them that the O ringed head would not work with the larger bore.

The Oring fix is the best way to seal up an old block / head that is not perfectly flat.

One of the nice features of the cometic is that you can reuse it, it makes taking the head off to have a look inside a little less painful!
