Default Will this K27 work?

Hey guys I found a new K27 and I wanted to know if it would work on a 951 or not

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KKK-K...Q5fAccessories

He states that it is a T3 flange... Just want to upgrade from my 86' k26

Thanks.

No it will not.

The flange and entire exhaust side is different than what's used on the 951.

I'll probably have to just get one of a 89S or order a lindsey to ensure i get the right turbo

Not sure about that one but I would stick with a turbo from a major turbo manufacturer. Why? It takes a while to replace it plus you lost the money fo that purchase. If you are going to invest 550 on the craigslist turbo then why not call one of the turbo companies and send them the core that you want(K26 -6 or -8) and check how much they would charge you to build one. My .02 cents.

True, I think I'll wait and either order one from Lindseyracing or look for a turbo off of a Turbo S... just to get a little more hp but not run the risk of buying trash or something that will take to much fab work. Thanks alot.

See I have a K27-6(7006 compressor) in my shelf waiting to put it in. I got it cheap and there's no shaft play, although since I'm going to change it I'm still debating between K27, LR #53, and K26/GT3071 Dual BB Turbocharger from 034 motorsport. Don't waste money on garbage.

You could always install the K27 you have and see if it's got enough boost for ya and if you wanting a little more get the LR#53 or the one from 034 Motorsport. Just figure since you got one might as well try it out for a month or two and then go from there.

Why do you say it's a Chinese replica?

Tony can you buy a real K27 for $350 new ?
Either the seller is loaded with money, or maybe I'm wrong. It looks real but I did an Intership in a Power company, and they showed us chinese replicas that looked like ours. Too bad they would blow up under load.

Man....that's pretty harsh. Bullseye Power has been around awhile (15 or 20 years IIRC) and are a licensed distributor/rebuilder for Borg Warner (KKK) Turbos.

I find it hard to believe they would risk getting their licensee revoked by selling Chinese knockoffs only to make a $100 bucks.....

BTW....MANY, MANY turbos have an integral or attached wastegate.

Just a thought.

Spend some time learning about and driving this car before you start bolting on turbos from EBay, no less.........
