help! does anyone know if the oil level sender mounts up or down?

Default help! does anyone know if the oil level sender mounts up or down?
I'm replacing my oil level sender,and did not pay attention when I took it out! I need to know if it should face up or down? Does anyone know?

Doesn't it only have 3 bolts? The holes will only line up one way...

Pointy thing goes vertical...you've got to insert it sideways and then rotate.
