Default 951 Won't Start Need Help

Hey guys my 951 currently is non-running... It first started to surge badly when I would drive and so I checked the AFM and the metal tab dug grooves into the magnetic strip. So I adjust the metal tab and the car ran perfect for a week till I decided to punch it on the gas just for kicks and once I got up to about 70-ish the car jerked and shut off...
Now the car trys to start and you can feel the engine rotate and will turn on once in a while but if it gets to idle it surges bad and cuts off after a few minutes... Idle would be under 1000RPM and surge between 400-800ish.

Is it possible that the AFM is gone completely or is it something else?

The DME relay is good, I'm getting fuel and can hear the pump cut on.

Since tinkering with the AFM made it run better for a while, seems like that may be the issue. Go to Clarks-garage.com and follow the testing procedure to see if your meter is putting out the correct signal -- that will tell you for sure.
