Engine troubble...
Back to square one.
A little background information.
Did a complete rebuild this winter. Just got the stuff back together. Car is an 1989 944 turbo.
The egnine seems to be runing on just 3 cylinders. 2nd one from the front fires badly. I tried to pull the ignitionwire and that made the problem worse. but not by alot.
First time i fired it up this summer, a couple of nights ago it ran fine. Better than ever in fact. I did how ever have a small fuel leak, so i shut the engine of. I changed both fuel lines and now it runs like an ***.
The car also seems to blow alot of liquid out of the exhaust. Might be e85 but could be water aswell. Probably water though. I had the same problem last season. The car has not been run other then on idle yet.
Im greatfull for any help as I don't know what to do anymore...

check to see if your getting spark. Could be a wiring problem since you moved the brittle harness around in the rebuild. if you cylinder is washing out it might not be a bad idea to squirt a little oil in the spark plug hole to help lubricate

Swap your #1 and #2 injectors and see if the problem follows.
If you are running E85 that means you have some management mods...if you are running a wasted spark system switch the plug wires on 2 & 3 and see if the problem moves.

So, i started my car up today. now it olny runs on 2 cylinders. Strangely enough one and two runs while three and four doesn't.
I moved the injectors around without any change to the problem. I interchanged injectorcables between cylinder two and three. No change. Since bad compression usualy don't move around i guess that's not the problem. I will check as soon as i get a hold on the comp-guage.
At one time i pulled the ignitionwire från cylinder three, that made the car run on 3 cylinders instead of 2.
So, im thinking ignition. The only thing that isn't more or less brand new is the coil. I did how ever cheap out on the ignitionwires. So i will probably buy better ones.
What are my options if i want to upgrade my ignition?
Oh... Could this proble be due to low fuelpressure? Perhaps i should check that aswell.
The changes i have made to the engine are listed below.
Head
-----------------------------
48 mm stainless steel intakevalves (Ferrea)
Ported (Ultra motors)
9:1 CR (Ultra motors)
Ti-retainers (Milledge)
Tougher valvesprings (Milledge)
Camshaft (Milledge) (Not in the car right now)
-----------------------------
Electronics
-----------------------------
Mass air flow system (Bosch H5M5)
Chip for etanol och 98 octane still motronic, no piggyback (custom built, has worked great for me and others)
1280cc injectors
044 fuel pump (Bosch)
Profec B spec II (Greddy)
LC-1 DB Wideband O2 (Innovate technologies)
-----------------------------
Air / Exhaust
-----------------------------
Turbo T3/t04E, 360 bearing, GT-shaft, 60 trim 0,63 A/R (Garrett)
Tial 38 wastegate
Audi TT Bypass
Catback
-----------------------------
