Default Need to borrow some stock chips...

Shop doesn't think my car will pass smog with the big 83lb injectors and they want to put the stock injectors in just for smog.

My car didn't come with stock chips though, so I need to borrow a set. My car is an '89, so has the 28 pin DME/KLR....

Can anyone help me out?

I have a stock 28 pin DME with stock turbo S chip in it you can borrow. I can probably burn you your own stock chip if you prefer, I have not had my chip programmer set up in a while but I probably have all the bits for it.

If you can burn me another stock chip that might be the way to go. Otherwise I'll borrow your whole DME. I'll pm you....

I think I still have the stock chips but they are for a 24pin. If the shop is the one I am thinking, I will be visiting there tomorrow.

Did you get the v-flex option? If you did, have you thought about running E85 for the emissions test?

The other option is (of course 24 pin DME and chips) but I have an authority MAF system with chips sitting in the garage that you could borrow.

When I lived in the emissions zone, my car passed with the authority stuff (and a cat of course).

Yep, have the v-flex option. Going to try to lean it out with the SMT6 first and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, I may take you up on your offer...
