Default Quick AFR question

I'm tuning up the car and when dialing in the AFR, does this sound right?
on my boost gauge:
0-5 around 14.7 to mid 13's
5-10 around mid 13's to mid 12's
10-up (16) work my way to about 11.8 ish?

I'm just trying to get an idea of not only the proper AFR, but what it looks like as boost builds. So, I'm wondering if this seems to make sense? I'm basically working my way from the 14.7 to 11.8 at max boost... Thanks for the input

Stephen

Is that WOT or partial throttle?

IF WOT, that is about right, what injectors and FPR are you running, if stock you MAY be running out of injector...

14.7ish at idle, 11.8ish WOT full boost..... it will and should drop as boost builds as there is MORE fuel going in along with more air....

With a much more better turbo you should be... that might even be a little rich, but if it is working for you it is all good...

Cool, I think I'm on the right track. I have the LR 340 package.
Sport turbo,
LR wastegate
MBC
MAF
Mafterburner
55lbs inj
whatever the FPR they sell with it.
3" exhaust with no cat, etc..

At WOT I'm trying to get it to stay around 11.5. My trouble with the tuning is that my stupid wastegate vents to atmosphere and it's freakin loud and embarrassing..... besides that, I run out of road so damn fast when I get on boost....I need to hit a long empty highway...

Anybody in the Reseda area want to ride shotgun and tune on my laptop?...;-)

LMAO, I have a route I run for data logging and tuning... half surface streets, half (or more) on highway... nice and straight...

Why? Brake to load the engine you will get right boost but not needing a 500 mile runway..

I run 70 miles daily each way to work and back, tuning on the highway is a way for me to tune in a real driving environment...

plus why fry the brakes when you can just change lanes?

That being said i have done the same tapped on the laptop with my right hand as i drive but it is far easier to do that while you brake..

Glad to hear I'm not alone on this one!...;-).. I usually set up the laptop so I can glance at it and watch where I need to adjust the sliders while boosting, then pull over, make adjustments and then have a nice acceleration time to get up to highway speed again...(3 or 4 seconds...;-) That is, if the highway isn't crowded. In Cali we have the collection of the worst drivers from around the globe....You can easily get hit by an ex Spice Girl rehearsing lines for an audition and then have Jay Leno stop by to help out...goodtimes.
