Default Putting Engine In!

hey...I'm new to the forums and I just recently bought a 86' 944 turbo. I'm putting the motor back together this weekend and will probably install it the following week. I need to know what is the best way to put the motor in. I've been hearing to install it from the bottom but was wondering how I get the car up that high without a lift really. Should I use a hoist with the tow eye, or will it bend? Or should I just jack the car up as high as I can and put jackstands underneath. Any tips will be very helpful because I know these cars need to be well maintained and everything properly installed. Thanks!

Check out post #13, should answer a few questions (https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turb...e-removal.html). FWIW I have always used a lift just as shown in the thread. I am sure there are other ways, but this one seemed safest to me. Welcome to Rennlist!
