Default What's it worth? 86 951

I've got an '86 951 in great physical condition, and it runs - except its got white smoke and low compression on the #2 cylinder so I'm pretty sure its got a bad head seal at least. Realistically to get this working again you'll need to pull the head at minimum, and it also has a vac leak - I think from the res.

It has a built bottom end originally had the work done by lindsey, have the invoices from the original motor owner. It has less than 3k miles on it.

The body is in really great condition, looks gorgeous and the interior as well.

This was a project car but I've just gotten to a point where I no longer have the free time and I'm tired of feeling guilty about it.

Generally, what do you guys feel that it's worth?

Where are you located? That will have some bearing on a price as well as a blown head gasket. Hard to really tell until the head is removed. It could be a cracked block.

Cheers,
Larry

A 951 value with a bad engine....ask Lart!

Thats a tough sell these days - even good 951s are going cheap.

I'm in Austin, TX.

Think I could get $1600 for it? If so that'd cover a lot of my recent sunk costs and I'd be happy.

Well here are recent body shots, it looks like this right now.

It also has:

- Tial DP wastegate
- AEM UEGO Wideband
- MBC
- Venturi Delete
- 930 Disc
- New 951 PP
- MAXhp Chip
- Turbo is in good shape, no play
- I also have a Lindsey Stage II MAFkit in a box I can throw in.

Driver side mirror is loose and will need to be fixed, no damage though.

No LSD.

Haha I've received a whole ton of PMs, okay so it's worth more than 1600.

BTW this was not a sale post, I just wanted to know the value of the car. I'm satisfied that it has some value. I'll probably put together a real sale post later in the for sale section.

Well, whatever other offer check with me I'll give yo more than the highest offer you get.

Oh yes is worth a lot more but not together but in parts, as a whole anybody paying more than 3k is nuts.
