Default Saggy *** (89 951 rear torsion bars)

My 89 (so M030 suspension, presumably) is beginning to sag in the butt.

Is the torsion bar the same as a normal 951, or is it uprated? -or do all 944s use the same rear torsion bars?

-And when they age/fail, is there anything else other than sag/droop, or is that basically all that happens?

Cheers,

Keith

Start by checking your rear ride height eccentrics and make sure they haven't slipped or anything. They are by the rear toe adjusters on the spring plate arms.

Yep. This one is all the way lifted and still the car's about ½" too low... according to the guy at the shop who had it up on the lift.
